Music Lesson Policy
Our private lessons are taught by professional musicians with formal music education and professional music performance experience.

Our Private music lessons are regularly priced at $80 per month for four (4) standard 30 minute lessons once a week on your pre-assigned day and time.  During months in which there are five weeks, you will receive the bonus lesson at no additional charge or can use the fifth week as a makeup lesson for a previously missed lesson.  There are generally four bonus weeks per year. 

Tuition is due on or before the first private music lesson of the month. 

We offer discounts on lessons of $10 per month (total $70 per month) to students who also rent their musical instruments from us and use Autopay.  Autopay students who continue their private music lessons year throughout the summer, will not be subject to fall price increase or registration fee.  Family discounts apply.  Two or more family members in private lessons are $70 per month per student.  Discounts can not be combined.

We hold three recitals per year, and all students are strongly encouraged to participate.

We do not give refunds or credits for missed lessons, unless the teacher is absent and the student receives less than 4 lessons in that month.

Private music lessons are the best way for the music student to improve their music playing ability.  The beginning young student taking private music lessons should plan on studying their instrument each day for 20 minutes per day at least 5 days per week, and never skip more than one day a week.  Older students, should study one half hour to one hour a day during the first few years, and longer as the student becomes more advanced. Very young music students might practice their musical instrument only 15 or 20 minutes at a time, but each music student should be encouraged to get some practice in every day, sometimes splitting practice into two shorter sessions per day.  Make sure students practice without the distraction of television or other activity that will interfere with their focus.  Always be encouraging.  Learning a musical instrument is one of the most rewarding after school activities a child can do.  If you play violin, piano, guitar or any other musical instrument you already know this.  If you don't play a musical instrument you have probably said, "I wish I could play a musical instrument".  So often I hear, "I wish my mother would not have let me quit my piano".
